Junior Girls Cricket is a key part of the Blackburn Cricket Club family.  A foundation member of the Inner East Girls Cricket (IEGC) in 2016, winning the inaugural U13 competition in that year, the Blackburn Cricket Club has continued to forge a path for female cricketers by fielding All Girl Teams competing in both the IEGC and the RDCA Competitions across a range of age groups.  These fun early development competitions help strengthen the cricket pathway for females in the region.  The IEGC and RDCA All Girls Cricket programs are aimed at 8 to 16 year old girls, and help bridge the gap for female participation opportunities between Woolworths Cricket Blast and Bartercard Premier Cricket.

The BCC Girls Cricket Pathway is:

Girls Master Blasters -> Stage 1 -> Stage 2 -> Play Mixed Boys Cricket -> Womens Cricket

Our Pathway Model provides flexibility to allow Girls to grow and move along the Pathway throughout the season.

Blackburn CC fields ability and age based teams for Girls in
             - All Girls Master Blasters (Wed Afternoons)
              - Stage 1 (played on Wednesday Afternoons);
              - Stage 2 (played on Sunday Mornings); and,
              - Opportunities for Mixed Boys and Girls Cricket (Fri or Sat).

Girls are also welcome to join in the BCC Friday and Saturday Junior Cricket in Mixed Teams.  Blackburn CC has a strong history of Girls successfully climbing the Cricket Pathway, with many great examples of BCC girls going on to play Junior Representative and State Cricket.
