Under 14A
Blackburn North C.C vs Blackburn C.C
@ Koonung Park.
Our Under 14A team had a road trip up to our close neighbours Blackburn North on the weekend, for what was anticipated as a long awaited Derby between the 2 clubs in this age and grade bracket.
The match started like any other cricket match with Blackburn winning the toss and having a Bat first. The boys batted very well in the 1 day format to amount a very respectable total of 8/133. L.Mallia 25 & K.Rayner 32 rtno (including his 1st full boundary 6).
Now who ever provided the morning tea, probably needs to provide it more often.
The Blackburn boys went out to bowl and grabbed their first scalp with 13 runs on the board, the 2nd with 24.
Blackburn North were then all of a sudden all out for 29. Not unheard of in Junior Cricket or even Senior Cricket for that matter, but amongst the 9 wickets for 5 runs is the amazing stat of......
Two Hat Tricks in the one innings.
An unheard of feat in BCC records.
Big Congratulations to the 2 lucky bowlers
Joshua Sharman
3 overs 1 maiden 3 wickets for 2 inc Hat Trick
&
Lachlan McKenzie
2 overs 1 maiden 4 wickets for 2 inc Hat Trick.
A fantastic and unbeleivable occurance.
The Blackburn Cricket Club applauds you both and your team for an amazing match.
