Hey there Cricketer’s

Its that time of year again when our Cricket season starts its “Run up” for Season 2011-2012. Our new president Brad Byrnes who like you all, played his Junior cricket at BCC and even won the Allan Berry Shield in his last year of U16. Brad, committee and myself have a strong understanding of the importance of our Junior players and families and are striving with everyone’s input, to further grow our great family club, on and off the field.

A lot has been happening off-field in preparation of another big season of cricket. Pleased to announce that our Specialist Coach Bryan Reid is again signed on for the season and looking forward to working with everyone again, Bryan did an amazing job with kids last year, giving them all an insight to the necessaries for good cricketing and training for the future. Eagerly awaiting to further develop our Junior program with Bryan in the coming season.

The U12, U14, & U16 Cricket Clinics that have been headed up by our very committed & very talented coaches are running extremely well. The 37 kids who were able to attend have been receiving some wonderful tuition and guidance not just for this season but for many seasons ahead. A lot of the coaching structure from these clinics will easily role into and develop through our pre & normal season training, very exciting.

Coaches:

All the Coaches have been appointed for all of our  competitive teams which means we can start to hit the ground running this season.

It is around now is when I start to look for Under 10 Coaches, this season all but 1 coach has moved onto Under 12 age bracket. Which is fantastic for the kids and the Club, and now is time for the new breed of Super mums and dads who want to take part in shaping the Cricketing played at Blackburn C.C

So if you would like to be involved with your child’s cricketing endeavours and coach a group of very talented, eager players that are hungry for wickets, now is the chance. The Blackburn Cricket Club provides all the necessary training with Cricket Australia. (1 day course). We also have a supportive and experienced past and present coaches, senior players & staff that are always ready to lend a hand and idea’s when needed.

So drop me a line if your interested and we can begin to action on getting our kids the all the fun and enjoyment we can give.

Also start to think of, just as important roles maybe even more important, is Team Manager and Net Captain Role’s, let me know and have a think, but more information to come.

Teams:

The B.C.C is aiming for the following teams for Season 2011-2012, which may increase or decrease due to numbers of participants.
